The National Organization of the Remodeling Industry, otherwise known as NARI, is the independent national association for the remodeling industry. NARI focuses on professionalism, ongoing training, fairness, and ethics in the remodeling industry. NARI certifies remodeling contractors who meet strict criteria and have pledged to uphold NARI’s Code of Ethics and the group’s high standard.

The NARI certification program is designed so that potential customers can select contactors with this certification in confidence. NARI also certifies contractors in specific areas based on contractor skills or experience in order to help people better choose the right contractor. These areas include: Certified Remodeler, Certified Remodeler Specialist, Certified Remodeler Associate, Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler, Certified Lead Carpenter, and Certified Green Professional.

NARI wants to help homeowners chose the right contractor for their job. In addition to certifying contractors categorically to assist the consumer, NARI also offers advice on selecting a contractor to make it even easier for a consumer to find and hire the right contractor for their remodeling job.
